Attendance & Safeguarding
We expect all Sixth Formers to strive to achieve 100% attendance. Students should be in school from 8.45am to 3.25pm each day. If they have a study period for their first lesson, they must register by 8.45am using the Biometric scanner located at the Sixth Form Office, in the Common Room.
It is essential that we know where all our students are at all times during the school day.
- If students have to leave the premises, they must sign out at Student Reception. When a student returns to school, they must also sign back in at Student Reception. No student may leave school without prior permission
- In the exceptional circumstance that a student is late in the morning, they must sign in using the late book at Student Reception, before proceeding to their lesson
This is an important safeguarding issue and legal requirement. In the event of a fire, we have to account for the whereabouts of all students and need to be able to give the emergency services an accurate list of all students that are present and on site.
It is imperative that all Sixth Formers comply with this straightforward but vital procedure.
