Sixth Form - plans for September opening
(Posted on 15/07/20)
Dear students, parents and carers
I hope that you are all well.
Please find attached our plans for the full opening of school in September.
The government published its reopening advice earlier this month, and since then we have been working on plans to meet their requirements. You can find the advice document by clicking on this link:
Introduction. It is our plan that all pupils, in all year groups, will return to school full-time from the beginning of the autumn term. This guidance is intended to support schools, both ...
The plans we are putting in place are complex, so please take time to read this document with your children. There is a slightly different document for each key stage. Whilst much of the information in the document is common to all students, we have highlighted the key stage specific information in red type - so those of you with children in different key stages, will not have to trawl through each document to find the relevant adaptations!
We hope it answers the questions you have and gives you confidence that we have done all we can to make our school as safe as we possibly can.
If you have any specific questions that are not covered in the document, please bear with us, we might not have all the answers at this stage and we fully expect the government guidance to change at some point in the autumn term. In the first instance, please direct any additional queries to the relevant head of year. The document will be placed on our website, and any future amendments will be communicated to you.
We will be writing to students and parents, regarding the arrangements for GCSE/AS results day, later this week.
May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year and wish you all the best, whatever your plans, for a great summer break.
