Bringing Aspirations to Life
in a
Happy, Hardworking

Welcome to Christleton High School: a safe, happy and stimulating high school, where students genuinely want to reach their full potential and where dedicated, highly motivated teachers inspire them to achieve their goals.

Read Headteacher’s Welcome

We are a highly successful school situated in the picturesque village of Christleton, with 1,420 students on roll. The School serves a community of small villages and housing on the east side Chester, approximately three miles from the City centre.

We are a school where the desire to learn is infectious and students of all abilities flourish. Everyone works hard to create a learning environment where all are welcome and diversity is celebrated.

Consequently, academic standards at the school are very high and frequently amongst the highest in the region, thanks to: highly motivated staff; children who wish to learn and parents and carers who support them.

The School is a happy, hardworking and caring environment. The School's ethos centres on the 5Cs: Caring for our students; Commitment to High Standards; with a Creative, Collaborative and Cheerful atmosphere and we will seek to instil them in every member of our School community.

We are a school where staff and students have a strong sense of purpose. Teachers constantly strive to provide inspirational learning and extra-curricular initiatives in which students are equipped with essential life skills. We work hard to ensure that the atmosphere in Christleton remains very special.

Quite simply, at Christleton, we believe that everyone has talent and we strive to work with every student to nurture their individual abilities and equip them for success on their pathway through life.

The school is a central part of the Multi-Academy Trust, The Learning Trust. As a member of The Learning Trust, Christleton High School is delighted to collaborate with Queen’s Park High School, Chester International School and Belgrave Primary School.

Christleton High School is a trusted and respected member of the local community and works exceptionally hard to provide the very best start for our young people. We firmly believe that our school is a special place, a community that works to support each other and where students develop their potential and are ready to take their place in society as well-rounded, informed individuals.

I hope that our website gives you an insight into our values and practices.

Kevin Smith, Headteacher
